• Leave Hypafix (bandage) on for at least 24 hours. Try to keep it
on for 4-6 days. (Only remove bandage early if skin feels
irritated/uncomfortable, or if the seal has broken and it is
leaking. Immediately wash tattoo after removal)
• When
removing the bandage, please do so in the shower, and gently wash
with unscented soap. Pat to dry.
• After 24 hours of
bandage removal, apply a thin layer of unscented moisturizer (we
recommend Aveeno) 2-3 times/day.
• Avoid any friction,
irritating the tattooed area will cause it to heal poorly.
•
Do NOT pick or scratch at your healing tattoo. (It will get
itchy!)
• Keep your tattoo as dry as you can while
it's healing. DO NOT submerge tattoo in water (lake, pool,
ocean, hot tub, etc.) for at least 3-4 weeks.
• If you
have pets, do your best to keep them off your tattoo. Pet
hair/dander is known to cause infections while the tattoo is
healing.
